Background

Berri Barmera Council is responsible for managing a wide range of community assets, with a total value of about $183 million. These assets include roads, footpaths, stormwater systems, buildings, community wastewater management systems (CWMS), and plant and equipment. These are things that are critical infrastructure to supports daily life, safety and community wellbeing.

Council is currently seeking feedback on the following draft plans:

  • Roads and kerbs
  • Community Wastewater Management Systems (CWMS)
  • Stormwater

An AMP provides a clear overview of the forecast investment Council plans to make in its assets over the next 10 years. It ensures assets are maintained in a way that is financially sustainable and meets the needs of current and future generations.

In June/July 2025, Council sought the community's feedback on tranche one of the Asset Management Plans. This included buildings and structures, footpaths and an overall strategy and summary.

Public consultation closes on Wednesday, February 4.
